Vintage Birthday Wishes - Clockworks and Gorgeous Grunge

I just love this card using the Clockworks and Gorgeous Grunge stamp sets. It also features the same color combination that I used last week on the Laundry Notes card - Pink Pirouette, Soft Suede, Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party, Very Vanilla. I used lots and lots of layers (cardstock layers and stamped layers) on this one, with a lot of texture as well - Big Shot Embossing, Heat Embossing, just a touch of Distressing here and there and Sponging on everything. This Color Combination is the Tech Club Theme for November Swaps.

One of my favorite things about this card is the Champagene Mist Shimmer Spray that I used on some of the layers. I just love the light shimmer this gives and am so happy that these Shimmer Paints are still available on the Clearance Rack! Mix it with Rubbing Alcohol and use it as a spray to add just the right amount of shimmer and glimmer to your project without being overwhelming or too blingy. I also love those petite Pool Party arrows are one of the accessory dies from the Circle Card Thinlit. And I really love these buttons! I tied the Very Vintage Designer Button on to the Victoria Lace with a few wraps of Pool Party Baker's Twine (retired.)

There are so many elements of texture on this card! I used the Beautifully Baroque Texture Embossing Folder on the Rich Razzleberry layer. Then I sponged lightly over the embossed elements with Soft Suede ink and a Sponge Dauber. This really makes those embossed areas pop. The edges of this layer are also distressed a little, not too heavy. The encyclopedia paper layer is stamped with a few of the Clockworks images, sponged with Soft Suede ink and then layered onto a distressed Soft Suede cardstock mat. The collage stamping adds even more texture to this card. I stamped some of the Gorgeous Grunge images in Pink Pirouette and Pool Party inks, spritzed with Champage Mist Shimmer Paint Spray.  Then I swiped the stamped cardstock with the Embossing Buddy, stamped the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry ink and covered it in Clear Embossing Powder, heat set with the Heat Gun.
