These Graduation Announcements are for a sweetheart who just completed her Master's Program. She looked at the announcements offered in the graduation package and knew they just weren't her style. So we stamped these pocket cards for her to announce her graduation.
The Pocket Style card is perfect for an invitation or announcement, with the ribbon tab pull card. And the Pockets are easy to create with the Simply Scored tool and Paper Cutter from Stampin' Up!
To make these cards I scored an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of Night of Navy cardstock in half at 5 1/2". Then I cut cardstock sheet in half, vertically, to 4 1/4" x 11". Each of these pieces are cut on the diagonal from one corner to the opposite corner of the scored center fold. Fold on the score lines. Decorate each diagonal piece and then adhere the backs together and the bottom edges to create the pocket.
For these Pocket Cards I used pages from a book of poetry of John Greenleaf Whittier. For the insert, the announcement wording is printed on Naturals Ivory cardstock and matted onto the Soft Suede mat. A tab of Basic Black Satin Ribbon coordinates with the Black Heat Embossed 2012 medallion.

SASCRAP81 - Way To Go - 12x12 Scrapbook Challenge
Time for the May Scrap Theme Challenge at Stampin' Addicts - SASCRAP81 Way To Go! - to scrap a page celebrating a congratulatory moment - one of those times
when you say 'Way to go!' ' Great Job!' 'Congratulations!' Also, try to include a
pocket or envelope on your page. This pocket can hold a letter or certificate, private journaling or even extra photos.
For my GRAND SLAM! page, I made a pretty simple pocket behind the large photo where I slid in a print out of the online version of a Denver Post newspaper. I made this pocket so that the top of the article is visible and it slides out the top of my top access page protector pages.
Here are a few close up shots of the title and the journaling. I stamped the flourish from Established Elegance in Soft Suede and Early Espresso ink onto the Crumb Cake title letters and also on the Natural Ivory mat for the journaling strip. I also add some sponged Soft Suede ink to the letters in the title.
Come on over to the Stampin' Addicts and share your Scrapbooking Pages!
