Simply Adorned - a closer look

The Simply Adorned line of charms from Stampin' Up! are offered in several different sizes, beginning at 5/8" Circle and Square Charms. These itty bitty canvases create a unique challenge for stamping, and they will make you look at your stamps in a new way. Stampin' Up! also offers a few stamp sets designed for the Simply Adorned line, with small images and sentiments sized for these charms. However, for the charm inserts I featured in my Summer Mini Blog Hop post, I used some of the larger image stamps.

For example, in the 5/8" Circle Charm pictured above, I used a portion of the flower image from Elements of Style. I first stamped the large flower image from Elements of Style in StazOn Jet Black onto a piece of Window Sheet. Then I used a 1/2" Circle Punch (upside down so I could see what portion of the image I was punching) to punch out part of a blossom from the stamped image. Then I just added the center of a Small Circle Fire Rhinestone with a dot of Tombow Mono Multi Adhesive.
In this photo, you can see how small the area is that I used for the 5/8" Circle Charm Insert. This was definitely one of the more simple Charm inserts I created! For the 5/8" Square Charm pictured below, you can see that I used the same stamped image from the Window Sheet. For this one I just placed the insert paper from my charm over the image and trimmed around it with Paper Snips. I added the smallest butterfly from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit with a dab of Tombow Mono Multi Adhesive. This charm is so small, that even that smallest butterfly has to have the wings clipped to fit, though!


Finally, here's a closer look at the 1 x 1.25 Rectangle Charm insert I made using the Window Sheets again for a transparent charm. For this one, I used Silver Encore Ink and Silver Embossing Powder to create an embossed image of the Elements of Style flower. You can click on the image to see a slightly larger view of it.
